Plan the year · Run the day · Keep the records
Give your homeschool something sturdy to climb.
- Trellis plans your whole school year, runs each day from one calendar, and carries completed work into the records you'll need later.
- Create your family account without a card. If Trellis fits your homeschool, continue for $79 a year after the trial.
01Plan the year
A year of lessons in an evening, not a weekend of data entry.
- Paste a lesson count, table of contents, or spreadsheet. Trellis schedules it around your planned time off.
- Chapters and units become schedulable daily work.
- Learning Records fill in on their own as work gets done. Add estimated minutes to any lesson if you also want time logged.
- Review each import before it lands on the calendar. Undo anytime.
02Run the day
One calendar for the whole family.
- Day, week, and month views. Move a lesson anytime. Catch Up previews the new dates before applying them.
- Add field trips, co-op days, and time off to the same calendar.
- Subscribe with a private, read-only feed to Google, Outlook, or Apple Calendar, whichever you already use.
Works on the devices you already own.
- Any browser, nothing to install, no app store account for your 8-year-old. Sign in and it's all there, on the laptop or the phone in your pocket.
03Kids own their day
Each child gets a login, a list, and a satisfying check‑off.
- Kids sign in on any device and see their day, week, or month, no gradebook or schedule to touch. They check off their own work, build a streak, and finish with a celebration style they picked.
- A built-in timer handles "20 minutes of math." Their own records page tracks books read and days done.
04Prove it happened
The record-keeping does itself.
- Checked-off work fills Learning Records by subject.
- Log a field trip once and it applies to every child who attended.
- Enter books with page counts to the Reading Log, and Trellis estimates hours from the pace you set.
- Gradebook averages follow the grading scale you set. Printable records are ready anytime.
05The high school years
High school, handled.
- Plan all four years in one place. Add courses when you're ready and grade them as they're completed.
- Build a Course Bank for ideas and maybes, then drag courses into each grade year when ready. Browse 60 common electives to add with one click.
- School year, semesters, or quarters. Switching views never moves a course.
- Trellis works in any state. Minnesota, Wisconsin, Iowa, New York, North Dakota, South Dakota, and Texas add each state's guidance, separate from your homeschool plan. New York keeps its conditional 18.5-unit home-instruction plan separate from the optional 22-credit public-school set, and it never calls either one a State diploma. South Dakota names no high school courses at all, and Texas leaves graduation to the family, so Trellis does not invent one for either. More states are added as families sign up.
06The paperwork that matters
The same courses become the official transcript.
- Nothing gets entered twice. The four-year plan is the transcript's source, ready to print anytime.
- Letter grades, percents, or Pass. Enter credits per course. GPA calculates automatically.
- Add courses taken before Trellis into any grade year, even years later.
- Transcripts fit one page. Longer course lists continue cleanly without dropping anything.

07Answer the state
State guidance where Trellis has built it.
- Minnesota, Wisconsin, Iowa, New York, North Dakota, South Dakota, and Texas today, with more as families arrive. Rules become a checklist linked to primary sources.
- Minnesota generates reports. Wisconsin, Iowa, New York, and the Dakotas follow their own filing shapes. Texas explains its no-registration baseline and offers a browser-private withdrawal-letter helper.
- Schedules, hours, grades, and assessments, most of what a state asks for, are already in Trellis.
- Compliance pages do not use a saved birth date or address to guess a child's legal duties.
08Community curriculum library
Start from a plan another family already typed in.
- Families share full year plans you can copy with one click.
- Sharing is optional. Keep your imports private if you'd rather.
- Search by curriculum or grade. "Saxon 5/4" finds it.
- Set your own start month. Lessons fall into place around it.
- Sharers get credit or stay anonymous. Copies undo like any import.
And the rest of the toolbox
- One flat plan. Everything here is included for every family, every kid.
- Spreadsheet view. Edit the whole plan in a fast grid, with undo and redo.
- Monthly checklists. Hold "anytime this month" work outside the dated calendar.
- Grading scale. Set the scale that fits your family.
- Move Work. Choose lessons to move. Preview the new dates before applying them.
- Catch Up. Preview how overdue lessons reschedule before anything moves.
- Child view and parent to-dos. One screen for every child's day. Your own list lives on the family calendar.
- Dark mode. A lower-light theme with a kids' moon button. Printed pages stay white.
- Calendar feed. A private, read-only link puts every school day in the calendar app you already use.
- Reading shelf. Stock books for one child or everyone. Finishing one logs straight to their Reading Log.
- Full data export. Download your complete family records from Settings.
Paid for by the families who use it.
- $79 a year. One plan, every feature, kids included. Free 30-day trial, no card required.
- The free 30 days include everything, the High School Planner and Transcript too.
- If more than two full days remain, your first charge waits until the trial ends. During the final two days, subscribing charges immediately and starts the paid year.
- If a trial or subscription lapses, editing pauses. Records stay viewable, printable, and exportable.
Your family's records belong to your family.
- Export everything as a file, anytime. Ask us to delete your data and it's gone.
- No ads, no data sales, no public child profiles. A kid's login opens a checklist, nothing more.
Operated by Isanti Analytics LLC. Screenshots and sample records show a demo family.
Made in Minnesota.
- Homeschool Trellis is built and run from Isanti County, by homeschoolers, for homeschoolers. Our first families are our neighbors, and the records Trellis keeps speak fluent Minn. Stat. § 120A.24.
- Home is here, but Trellis works in all 50 states. Planning and record-keeping fit any state's homeschool, and state-specific compliance pages grow as families join from new places.
