The family behind Trellis

Trellis started with one sentence from my wife: "I want you to create me a site that the kids can log into to see what they need to do and check it off." I'm Ryan. I build Trellis, she runs our Minnesota homeschool, and everything on this site grew out of that one request.

She had already built every system a person can reasonably build by hand. What none of them could do was let the kids see their own work and let her stop being the only person in the house who could verify anything. That's still the test every feature has to pass: one real homeschool pushes on it before you ever see it.

The business behind the app is Isanti Analytics LLC, a small Minnesota company. There is no venture capital and no growth team. When you email support, the person who answers is the person who wrote the code.

What Trellis is, and what it isn't

Trellis is a planner for one family's homeschool. You plan the school year in an evening, run each day from one calendar, and the records build themselves as your kids check off work. Your kids get their own view: they see today's list, check things off, start a timer, read the notes you leave them, and watch their own records grow. What they can't do is change the plan. The planning tools stay yours.

Just as deliberately, Trellis is not a social network, a curriculum marketplace, or a co-op manager. No feeds, no ads, no upsells inside your school day. It does one family's planning and record-keeping, and it tries to do that better than anything else.

Your records are yours

Homeschool records matter for years, so here are the plain answers. Your family's data lives in your own account and is never sold or shared with advertisers. Every day it is backed up to a second storage provider, so one failure can't take your records with it. You can print or export your records whenever you want. And if you ever stop subscribing, your account stays readable and exportable. A lapsed family loses editing, never their history.

The formal versions live in our Privacy Policy and Children's Privacy pages.

Where Trellis works

Families plan and keep records with Trellis anywhere. State paperwork is built state by state, and today that deep support covers Minnesota, Wisconsin, Iowa, New York, North Dakota, Pennsylvania, South Dakota, Texas, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New Hampshire, and Vermont. It follows each state's real shape, including states with no annual notice at all. More states are coming as families ask for them. If your state isn't covered yet, the planning, grading, and record-keeping all still work; you would format your own state's forms from the records Trellis keeps.

The plain price

Trellis is $79 a year. The first 30 days are free and don't ask for a card. There is one plan, and everything is in it.
