Children's Privacy Notice

Homeschool Trellis is designed for parents to organize a private homeschool. A parent creates and controls child access.

Child information

The service may store a child's display name or family-chosen username, grade level, assignments, completion activity, grades, learning logs, and device access tokens. It does not ask children for an email address, phone number, precise location, photo, or public profile.

Purpose and disclosure

Child information is used internally to provide the family's planner and records. It is not public, sold, or used for advertising. Infrastructure providers process information only to operate email, hosting, security monitoring, and encrypted backups. If a parent turns on completion updates, Trellis emails a daily summary of completed assignments to the parent's own email address and to no one else. The child scratchpad stays on that device; Trellis servers never receive it.

Parent controls

A parent may review information in the app, export family records, change or revoke child access, request deletion, or revoke consent through support@homeschooltrellis.com. Revoking consent may require disabling child features or deleting the account.

Consent

Parents receive direct notice, affirm consent during activation, and receive a confirmation email explaining how to revoke it.
