Kansas homeschool graduation requirements, diploma, and transcript

Kansas homeschools operate as Nonaccredited Private Schools (NAPS) with no state graduation requirements; families set their own standards. Per the Kansas State Department of Education (KSDE): 'The NAPS must issue their own high school diplomas. These diplomas are not recognized by the State of Kansas as meeting any requirements.'

The public-school credit table, for reference
Kansas's public-school diploma requires 21 credits. A homeschool is not held to it. It is shown as the reference a transcript is commonly read against. A recruited athlete also registers with the NCAA Eligibility Center, which grades home-school core courses against its own worksheet, separate from this table.

Assessments in the public-school rules: No single mandated exit exam. Students must earn at least 2 State Board-approved 'postsecondary assets' (e.g. ACT score, AP/IB exam score, WorkKeys level, industry certification, community service hours) in addition to course credits. These exams bind public-school students; a homeschooled student is not required to take them.
What Kansas colleges ask a homeschooled applicant for
The Kansas Board of Regents' Qualified Admissions Precollege Curriculum applies uniformly to all 6 state universities (KU, K-State, Wichita State, Emporia State, Fort Hays State, Pittsburg State). Homeschool graduates apply the same way as public-school graduates; Seal of Biliteracy is one of the state's approved 'postsecondary asset' options, not a separate diploma track.

The figures in parentheses are the Kansas Scholars Curriculum KU encourages, not required minimums; KU publishes no minimum course pattern. KU admits automatically with a 3.25+ GPA alone, or ACT 21+ or SAT 1060+ plus a 2.0+ GPA (admissions.ku.edu/apply).
