Nevada homeschool graduation requirements, diploma, and transcript

Nevada requires a filed educational plan and a described set of subjects, but issues no diploma to homeschoolers. Parents set their own graduation requirements and issue the diploma and transcript.

The public-school credit table, for reference
Nevada's public-school diploma requires 23 credits. A homeschool is not held to it. It is shown as the reference a transcript is commonly read against. A recruited athlete also registers with the NCAA Eligibility Center, which grades home-school core courses against its own worksheet, separate from this table.

Assessments in the public-school rules: Civics assessment required; the ACT was administered to public-school juniors through the class of 2024, and the 2023 exhibit cited lists later classes as 'to be determined'. Neither applies to a homeschool-issued diploma.
What Nevada colleges ask a homeschooled applicant for
Nevada requires a filed Notice of Intent and an educational plan naming the subjects taught, but does not review a homeschool transcript. NSHE's 13-course core curriculum, not the public-school diploma count, is the pattern the universities' own pages below describe, and it exceeds the public-school diploma count.

UNR's freshman page: a minimum 3.0 weighted academic GPA in the core courses, 4 units of English, 3 of math (Algebra I or higher), 3 of natural science and 3 of social science; SAT and ACT scores are optional for admission; a GED alone does not qualify for freshman admission.
