Oregon homeschool graduation requirements, diploma, and transcript

The Oregon Diploma's credit requirements bind public school districts only. Homeschoolers must pass periodic testing (ORS 339.035) instead; parents issue their own homeschool diploma, since no state diploma is issued to them.

The public-school credit table, for reference
Oregon's public-school diploma requires 24 credits. A homeschool is not held to it. It is shown as the reference a transcript is commonly read against. A recruited athlete also registers with the NCAA Eligibility Center, which grades home-school core courses against its own worksheet, separate from this table.

Assessments in the public-school rules: Essential Skills assessment requirement is suspended through the 2027-28 school year; no standalone exit exam is currently required. These exams bind public-school students; a homeschooled student is not required to take them.
What Oregon colleges ask a homeschooled applicant for
Oregon does not require homeschoolers to earn credits or receive a state diploma; parents issue their own. State-approved testing is required at grades 3, 5, 8, and 10. Use the 24-credit public-school table and UO's 15-unit list as transcript benchmarks.

UO calls this the '15 college-prep courses'; the third year of math may be any course focused on algebra, calculus, data science, discrete mathematics, geometry, mathematical analysis, probability or statistics; one year of lab science is recommended, and a fourth math year is encouraged for STEM applicants.
